Bubble Cathys
Acrylic (the main piece in the center) 43 x 60.5 inches How can I describe who I am? How do other people see me, and how do I see myself? When I think about these lingering questions I often think of hermit crabs. Most people are preoccupied with their shells. But the shell does not do justice to who they really are. As they grow, they move from shell to shell. Still, something deeper within remains the same, rarely seen by those around it. This piece is my attempt to bridge the two poles of who I am. It is the way I see myself, and what you may miss about me. |
