Hand Face
Stone clay and paint, black pen, acrylic paint Through the curved lines and bending of the reality, I sought to create a surreal stage that would follow suit of Dali’s furnitures. At the same time, I wanted to study the human body and reinterpret it as a space. Among different body parts, I chose the mask and hands as my objects of study. Masks interest me because they both reflect and hide what lies behind the masks. Some thoughts and feelings seep through while others may lurk underneath the surface. Also, I portrayed hands not only because I wanted to continue studying them, but also because I was drawn to their potential. I wanted to explore what the hands could represent in a space like a stage where physical expression is crucial. |
